Costa Maya Diving

What’s over 600 miles long, covers 115 million acres and was visited by over 8 million tourists in 2008 alone? That would be the Meso-American reef which stands as peaceful guardian of the Costa Maya coast line.
Within an easy swim or short kayak trek off Maya Chan Beach, this reef quietly tempts the curious, the thrill seekers, and the adventurous divers from all over the world. It is the home of 65 species of stony coral and over 500 species of fish. Recent studies date this reef and the ecosystems intertwined with it at close to 225 million years old. A few hours of observing it’s magnificent beauty is an experience our guests should not miss out on.
